Played opposite of the Open Championship, the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship has moved to Kentucky after its first three years in Alabama. Last year, Troy Merritt earned his 2nd career PGA Tour title by one shot over three players, and he is back to defend his title against some of the best players in the game. The field features former major champions John Daly, David Toms, Mike Weir and Jason Dufner. Other notables in the field include multiple PGA Tour winners Boo Weekley, Tim Herron, and 14-time winner/Kentucky native Kenny Perry.
Keene Trace Golf Club :
will host its very first PGA Tour event. Located south of Lexington in the town of Nicholasville, Kentucky, the course offers a unique mix of easy holes and challenging holes. With one of the rarer-3 finishing holes on the PGA Tour, a player tied or with a one-shot lead on Sunday will have plenty to think about.
