The Belgian Knockout has once again managed to produce an exciting event, and it was Guido Migliozzi who emerged victorious over Darius van Driel in the final knockout round. Migliozzi final 3 matches in the final round began with him eliminating Bernd Wiesberger in the quarterfinals, followed by a victory over Ewan Ferguson in the semi-finals. In the final 9-hole match, Guido made a birdie and bogey in the first 4 holes while van Driel played the same 4 holes with pars. The turning point in the game would occur on 5 and 6, where Migliozzi birdies 5 and parred 6 while Darius made two straight bogeys. They would both birdie 7 and 8, and a closing par for Guido on 9 resulted in his 2nd European Tour victory in his rookie season.
The European Tour will take a week off for U.S. Open qualifying, and will return to action on June 13th at Pebble Beach.
