The European Tour keeps rolling on this week at the KLM Open in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Last year, Ashun Wu earned his third European Tour title by one stroke over Chris Wood, and he will defend his title against an incredibly strong field. A total of six former major champions are in the field: Padraig Harrington (3), Jose Maria Olazabal (2), MartinKaymer (2), Trevor Immelman, Sergio Garcia, and Patrick Reed. Other notables in the field include 24-time European Tour winner Lee Westwood, and recent winners Thomas Pieters and Sebastian Soderberg.
The International: will host this event for the first time in its 80-plus year history. This Ian Woosnam design was opened in 2012, and features several lakes and mounds throughout the golf course. Similar to last week, the tournament ends with a par-5, and with water surrounding the green, there should be plenty of excitement come Sunday.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Matt Wallace: Currently 5th in the Race to Dubai Standings, Matt Wallace returns to competitive golf after a much-needed week off. Since this is the first time most of the field has played this golf course, look for him to make a push towards the top of the standings.
Mikko Korhonen: He already has a win this season, and he has made five straight cuts. A strong performance here can turn his good year into a great season.
