The PGA Tour returns to Sin City for the 37th edition of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Last year, Bryson DeChambeau held off Patrick Cantlay by a shot to earn his 5th career PGA Tour victory. He will return to defend his title against an incredibly stacked field, which includes the season debut for world number one Brooks Koepka. Five-time major champion Phil Mickelson makes his first start at this event in14 years, while Scott Piercy will try to add his name to the trophy in his home town.
TPC at Summerlin - will once again host this event. Built in 1991, the golf course features a modern desert-style design, and the weather determines the scoring. In 2018, when conditions were calm, the winning score was -21; however, windy conditions in 2017 brought the winning score down to -9.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Lucas Glover: The 2009 U.S. Open Champion has seen a recent resurgence in the last year, earning a trip to the Tour Championship. He finished tied for 7th at TPC Summerlin last year, and this could be the beginning of an even better season if he can keep the great play going.
Joaquin Niemann: The young Chilean is making his first start after earning his first career victory at The Greenbrier. Like Lucas, he also finished tied for 10th in this event last year, so don’t be surprised to see him contend for his second win this week.
