Golf fans were treated to an elite display of golf at Muirfield Village this Sunday, where Patrick Cantlay surged from behind to win by two strokes over Adam Scott.Starting the day four strokes behind 54-hole leader Martin Kaymer, Patrick hada perfect start to his opening nine, making birdie on the 2nd and 5th holes, then three straight on 7 through 9 to make the turn in 31. Trailing by one going into the back-9, Cantlay would birdie the par-5 11th, and follow up with birdies on 14 and 15. As Kaymer struggled, the result would be a three-shot lead going into the last three holes. Three closing pars, including a gutsy up-and-down from the bunker on 18, resulted in an 8-under 64 and his second career PGA Tour victory and his first since the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Tiger Woods saved his best round for last, and his final round 67 was good enough to finish in a tie for ninth.
Next week, the PGA Tour heads to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for the RBC Canadian Open.
