Professional golf is often about momentum, and that was the case this week at the Travelers Championship, where Chez Reavie won by four strokes over Zach Sucher and Keegan Bradley. Fresh off a tie for third at last week’s U.S. Open, Reavie started the final round six shots clear of the Sucher and Bradley. Chez would have a steady front nine, with a birdie on 4 and a bogey on 8 to make the turn at even par and up by five. It’s on the back nine where Keegan Bradley would make his move with birdies on 10, 11, 13 and 15 to narrow the deficit to a single shot. Unfortunately for Keegan, a double-bogey 6 on 17 combined with Reavie’s birdie brought the lead back to four. A par on 18 would result in Chez Reavie’s 2nd career PGA Tour victory and his first in nearly 11 years. Next week, the PGA Tour heads to Detroit for the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
