2019 WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational Wrap-Up
The cream has once again risen to the top at the final World Golf Championship event of the 2018-2019 PGA Tour season, where brooks Keopka claimed the title by three strokes over Webb Simpson. Brooks began the day one shot behind 54-hole leader Rory McIlroy, but his birdies on the 3rd, 5th, and 6th gave him the outright lead heading into the back nine. Another birdie on the 10th helped cushion his lead, and his steady string of pars, plus a birdie on 17, allowed Koepka to enjoy the walk down the last hole. A par on 18 resulted in a bogey-free 65 and Brooks Koepka’s first World GolfChampionship and his 7th career PGA Tour victory.
Next week, the PGA Tour’s regular-season comes to an end at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. The European Tour is on hiatus until August 15th.
