2020 Bermuda Championship Preview

A new event hits the calendar this week, as the PGA Tour heads to the beautiful island of Bermuda. Played opposite of the World Golf Championships - HSBC Champions, the field features some of the games’ up-and-coming stars as well as major championship winners. Houston Open champion Lanto Griffin is the only winner of the 2020 season in the field, but he is joined in the field by Martin Trainer, last season’s Puerto Rico Open champion. Other notables in the field include 2018 Rookie of the Year Aaron Wise, and 20-time PGA Tour winner Davis Love III.

LOCATION

Port Royal Golf Course   - hosted the Grand Slam of golf for 5 years, and returns to host the inaugural Bermuda Championship. A Robert Trent Jones Sr.-design, the signature hole is the par-3 16th, which features a tee and green that is perched near the Atlantic Ocean.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Robert Streb: He’s won one PGA Tour event in his career, but struggled to a finish outside of the top 125 in points last season. He has made 3 of 4 cuts this season, and this is a great opportunity to jumpstart a bounce-back season.

Aaron Wise: The 2018 Rookie of the Year finished 114th in last year’s FedEx Cup playoffs, and he will need to play well in order to keep his playing privileges. Look for Wise to be a factor going into the final round.
