Golf fans were treated to an exciting finish at The American Express, and in the end, Andrew Landry defeated Abraham Ancer by two strokes. Landry began the day tied for the lead with Scottie Scheffler, and made his first birdie on the 3rd, then added two more birdies on the 6th and 7th to take command of the tournament. After making the turn in 3-under, Andrew made three consecutive birdies on 10-12, only to follow it up with three straight bogeys on 13-15. Suddenly, he was tied with Ancer, but answered the call with a birdie on the 17th to take a one-shot lead. Another birdie on the last was enough for a final-round 67 and his second career PGA Tour victory.
Next week, the PGA Tour heads down to San Diego, California for the Farmers Insurance Open.
