Hannah Green, the 22-year-old Australian sensation from Perth, collected her 2nd career LPGA Tour victory this week at the Portland Classic by one stroke over Yealimi Noh. She started the day three strokes behind Noh, and with birdies on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th, found herself trailing by only one shot as the final pairing made the turn. A bogey on 11dropped her to two back, but a bounce-back birdie on the 12th kept her in the hunt. It didn’t look promising after Yealimi birdied the 14th and held a three shot lead, but Hannah responded with a birdie on 15, and a Noh bogey on 16closed the gap to one. Hannah took her first share of the lead with a birdie on the 17th, and a par on 18 was good enough as Yealimi Noh missed a 15-foot par putt to force a playoff.
Congratulations to Hannah Green, who will have a nice break until the LPGA Tour is back in action at the Indy Women in Tech Championship Driven by Group 1001.
