2018 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Wrap Up
Posted on October 08 2018

European Tour fans were treated to some amazing golf at the home of golf in the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and after a remarkable back nine, Lucas Bjerregard emerged with the trophy with a one-shot victory over the two-time defending champion Tyrrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood. Bjerregard began the day four shots behind Hatton, and Hatton’s lead grew to six after a string of four straight birdies on his opening nine. Unfortunately for Tyrrell, bogeys on 10, 11, 15 and 16 would open the door for Lucas, who played the back nine in two-under par for a final round 67 and his second career European Tour victory. With the win, Lucas Bjerregard vaults into the 10th spot in the Race to Dubai standings with six events left in the 2018 season.
Next week, the Tour heads to Surrey, England, for the Sky Sports British Masters.
