2018 CIMB Classic Wrap-Up

It was another low-scoring affair in Malaysia, and the first leg of the PGA Tour’s Asian swing is in the books with Australian Marc Leishman claiming the victory by five strokes over Emiliano Grillo, Chesson Bradley, and Bronson Burgoon. After starting the day tied for the lead with Gary Woodland, Marc would establish his presence early with birdies on holes 2 through 5 and adding another on the 9th to make the turn in 5-under 31. A birdie on 10 would give him a cushion, but after a bogey on 13th, he still had to finish strong to hold off his pursuers. Two birdies on 16 and 18 would complete a 7-under 65 and earn him his fourth career PGA Tour victory and his first since last September.
Next week, the PGA Tour stops in Jeju Island, Korea for The CJ Cup at Nine Bridges.
