2018 Shriners Hospital for Children Open Wrap-Up
November 05 2018 – AARON CAMILLERI

One of three 3-time winners from last season continues his great play in the latest wraparound season, as Bryson DeChambeau wins in Las Vegas at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open by one stroke over Patrick Cantlay. Starting the final round with a one-stroke lead over Lucas Glover, DeChambeau made three birdies and only one bogey on the front nine, which allowed several other players into the mix, including Cantlay, Rickie Fowler and Sam Ryder. A birdie on 10 would follow a string of pars for Bryson, but the defining moment of the tournament came at the par-5 16th, where he holed his 3rd from 20 yards to take the lead. Two pars later resulted in a 5-under 66 and his fifth career PGA Tour victory.
Next week, the PGA Tour heads to Mexico for the Maykoba Golf Classic.
