2018 Sky Sports British Masters Wrap-Up
October 15 2018 – AARON CAMILLERI

Strong winds dominated the final round of the Sky Sports British Masters, but it would not deter local favorite Eddie Pepperell from hoisting the trophy after a two stroke victory over Alexander Bjork. Pepperell began the day with a three stroke lead over three players and began his round with a steady string of pars before making his first birdie of the day. A bogey at nine would drop him back to even for the day, but he bounced back in dramatic fashion with a hole-out eagle-2 from the rough at the par-4 tenth. Despite a couple of bogeys on the back nine, no one else would be able to mount a charge, and Eddie Pepperell would go on to claim his second European Tour title this season, which is also his second career victory.
Next week, the European Tour heads to Spain for the Andalucía Valderrama Masters hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation
