2018 The CJ Cup at Nine Bridges Preview

The PGA Tour returns to Korea for the 2nd edition of The CJ Cup at Nine Bridges. Last year, Justin Thomas earned his seventh career victory in a playoff over Marc Leishman. This year he’s returning against an elite 78-man field which includes the reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year Brooks Koepka. Other notables include Australian star Jason Day, season opener winner Kevin Tway, and five-time PGA Tour winner Ryan Moore.

Nine Bridges Golf Club is ranked as one of the top 100 golf courses in the world. Since it opened in 2001, the course has hosted a wide variety of prestigious events, including the World Club Championship and several LPGA Tour tournaments.

Players to Watch:

Marc Leishman: He seems to love PGA Tour events in Asia. He finished runner-up in the inaugural CJ Cup and won last week’s CIMB Classic in Malaysia. Don’t be surprised to see him contend for the trophy this week.

Justin Thomas: It’s still early in the 2018-2019 season, and it’ll be important for Thomas to start the season on the right note. With plenty of positive vibes after his win last year, look for Justin Thomas to be a factor once again.
