2018 Turkish Airlines Open Wrap-Up
November 05 2018 – AARON CAMILLERI

The run of great golf for Justin Rose continued at this week’s Turkish Airlines Open, where he defeated Haotong Li in a sudden-death playoff. Starting the day three strokes behind Li, Rose played steadily for the first nine holes and managed to move within a shot of Haotong going into the back nine. After birdies on 10, 12, and 14, Justin Rose found himself ahead by two strokes until Li’s eagle on 15 tied up the scores. After they played the last three holes in one-over par, they would move to a playoff, where Rose’s par on 18 was good enough for his 12th career European Tour victory and moves him into third place in the Race to Dubai standings.
Next week, the European Tour heads to South Africa for the 2nd-to-last event of the season at the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player.
