The biggest names in sports, entertainment, and music get to play with the Tour’s best in the 78th edition of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Last year, left-handed Ted Potter Jr outlasted some of the world’s best, winning by 3 shots over Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Jason Day. He’ll return to defend his crown against another tough field, including recent Pebble Beach winners, including Brandt Snedeker and Jordan Spieth. Other notables in the field include Branden Grace, who finished runner-up last week in Phoenix, and reigning Masters Champion Patrick Reed.
This year marks the 100-year anniversary of the Pebble Beach Golf Links, one of the most historic golf courses in the world. This tournament is also played on Spyglass Hill and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club over the first 3 rounds, with the final round happening at Pebble.
Players to Watch:
Jason Day: Of the three runner-ups in last year’s event, Jason Day is the only one who has yet to win this tournament. With the U.S. Open being held here in June, this is a great opportunity for Jason to play well and gain positive vibes for the upcoming major season.
Cameron Champ: California natives always seem to do well in their home state, and the Sacramento-native has already made a big splash on Tour with his win during the Fall Series. Look for him to have a solid showing at Pebble Beach and continue his solid play.
