After a short hiatus, the European Tour’s best return to action this week at the 10th Annual Trophee Hassan II. Last year, Alexander Levy earned his fifth career win by one stroke over Alvaro Quiros, and he’s back this year to defend his title against a strong field, including past champions Edoardo Molinari and Richie Ramsay. Other notables in the field include Kurt Kitayama, who already has two wins this season, and Stephen Gallacher, the most recent winner on the European Tour.
Royal Golf Dar Es Salam is hosting this event for the 4th consecutive year. Located near the western coast of Morocco, it is one of the European Tour’s longest and toughest golf courses. If a player can get to 10-under for the championship, they have an incredible chance of winning.
Players to Watch:
Joost Luiten: Currently 15th in the Race to Dubai Standings, Joost is having an incredible season despite not having a win in 2019. Riding a streak of three straight top-15 finishes, this is a great opportunity for Luiten to pick up his 7th career victory.
Julian Suri: His tie for 4th in the Hero Indian Open was his best finish in 2019 in a limited number of starts. As the European Tour schedule begins to heat up, Julian should feel rested and ready to tackle this tough golf course and post another solid finish.
