It was an exciting day for golf, which saw a former world number one end an eighteen month winless drought. Rory McIlroy shot a blistering 8-under 64 to win by three strokes over Bryson DeChambeau. McIlroy’s round was capped off with an impressive run of five birdies in his last six holes. The win is his 14th PGA Tour win and his first since winning the Championship in 2016.

Tiger Woods gave the field a run for its money, but an untimely tee shot out-of-bounds on the 16th ended his chances. He finished T-5th, with plenty of momentum heading into the Masters in three weeks.

Next week, the PGA Tour heads to Austin Country Club for the WGC- Dell Technologies Match Play and to the Dominican Republic for the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
