European Tour - 2018 Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways Wrap-Up
Posted on August 05 2018
Low scoring was the theme in the final round of the Fiji International, and India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar emerged victorious by one shot over Australia’s Anthony Quayle. After starting the day with a one shot lead over Andrew Dodt, Jake McLeod, and Terry Pilkadaris, Bhullar started strong, with birdies on three of the first four holes, turning in 3-under 33. Even after a birdie on the par-3 12th, Gaganjeet Bhullar found himself trailing Quayle, who had two eagles on the back to close with a 29 for a 9-under 63. However, Bhullar was able to eagle the par-5 17th to regain the outright lead, and a par at the last was good enough for a 6-under 66 and his first career European Tour victory.
Australian Results (Top 10 Finishes):
Anthony Quayle -13 2nd
Jarryd Felton -10 5th
Andrew Dodt -8 T6
Jake McLeod -8 T6
Matthew Millar -6 T9
Andrew Martin -6 T9
