European Tour - 2018 Made in Denmark Wrap-Up
September 04 2018 – AARON CAMILLERI

A rare four-man playoff, all Englishmen, was needed to decide the champion of the Made in Denmark, and J.Lindeberg ambassador Matt Wallace defeated Steven Brown on the second playoff hole after Lee Westwood and Jonathan Thomson were eliminated after the first hole. Lee Westwood started the day with a one-stroke lead over Thomas Detry and Steven Brown, while Wallace began the day two back. While the other three players in the playoff played steadily, it was Matt Wallace who had a shaky start, with bogeys on 3 and 4; however, he would finish the front nine with back-to-back birdies on 8 and 9 before adding another six birdies on the back nine, including three straight to finish. Wallace would also birdie the 18th hole twice during the playoff for his third European Tour win of the season and fourth of his career.
Next week, the European Tour heads to Switzerland for the Omega European Masters.
