European Tour - 2018 Open de España Wrap Up
Posted on April 15 2018

It’s not too often the pre-tournament favorite is able to come through for the victory, but Spain’s Jon Rahm was able to accomplish that feat in his home country’s national championship, which is even more amazing considering it was the first time he has played the Open de España. Starting the day two strokes behind 54-hole leader Paul Dunne, Rahm, the 4th ranked player in the world, fired a final round 67, which was capped off by an eagle on the 72nd hole, to win by two. The win is Jon Rahm’s third career European Tour victory, and it vaults him into the 4th spot of the Race to Dubai rankings.
Next week, the European Tour heads to Morocco for the Trophee Hassan II. Stay tuned for your preview of this long-standing golf tournament.
