Posted on February 11 2018
Ted Potter Jr., the 246th ranked player in the world, snaps a five-and-a-half year winless drought in the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for his second PGA Tour victory. Starting the day tied for the lead with Dustin Johnson, who sits at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking, Potter was certainly the underdog going into the final round. However, he played near flawlessly.Embed from Getty Images
Starting with an opening-hole bogey, Ted reeled off four birdies in the next six holes, parring the last eleven holes to win by three strokes over Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Chez Reavie and Jason Day.
On the Amateur Team side of the tournament, PGA Tour winner Kevin Streelman and star Arizona Cardinals wide-receiver Larry Fitzgerald ran away from the field with a seven-shot victory.
Next week, the PGA Tour heads to the famed Riviera Country Club for the Genesis Open. Tiger Woods will be making his 2nd start of the 2017-2018 season, so you won’t want to miss this one!
