The Golf Society prides itself on providing Australian golfers with fashion forward and innovative golf apparel. The Golf Society has brands who are world leaders for style, fashion, and function. Brands like J.Lindeberg, Cross, Peak Performance and KJUS all originate in Europe and are leading the way with performance golf apparel and performance ski wear.
So why do these leading international brands focus on two completely different sports?
Playing 18 holes of golf for four or more hours exposed to what mother nature throws our way is just like a day on the slopes. You are out there enjoying your sport and making the most of your time. The parallel between golf and ski wear doesn't end with being exposed to the weather. Movement and freedom of movement is important. The last thing you want is being restricted by your outfit when you are trying to do the perfect golf swing. This is even more important when you have layered up for winter or the cooler mornings.
The majority of our golf shirts, golf pants, golf shorts and golf outerwear is constructed with materials that push the boundaries of intelligent fabric performance. Every seam, zip, and fiber is designed to facilitate maximum performance.
Our products feature more than of the following technologies;
Generally, clothing will stretch two ways, across the grain. 4 Way will stretch across and lengthways resulting in better freedom of movement. Don't feel restricted through your golf swing no matter how many layers you're wearing. |

Moisture management or moisture wicking tech fabric is designed to draw sweat & perspiration off the skin to the exterior of the fabric. It is much easier for the moisture to evaporate on the surface of the fabric than when it's between the garment and the skin. |
|
Paramount in golf clothing for the Australian golfer. Fabrics can be made from many types of fibers, including cotton, wool, and nylon. Most fibers naturally absorb some UV radiation, and some have elastic threads that pull the fibers tightly together, reducing the spaces between the holes. Some clothing will have UPF rating up to 50+ |
Some of our golf shirts now feature Anti-Odor technologies. These golf shirts contain silver nanoparticle shrunk down to sizes one billionth of a meter thin and embedded in the fabric to prevent bacteria that is produced when you sweat. |
|
The most basic property that the golf clothing must have is breathability. Here, breathability denotes the ability of the garments to transfer the moist vapour through the pore of garments. Breathable golf shirts, pants, shorts and outerwear ensure rapid moisture vapour transmission through garments, thus making any physically strenuous activity comfortable. |

This technology is in light weight golf outerwear and acts against or opposes the penetration of wind or air, removing the chill factor when worn. Windproof outerwear combined with water repellent technologies to create lightweight breathable outwear that will block the wind and a rain shower. |
Water repellent technology resists water from absorbing/penetrating into the fabric up to a light rainfall keeping you dry. Water repellent technology is added to windproof products. Water-repellent outerwear is lighter than full waterproof pieces. |

There are two main features to look for when shopping for a new waterproof golf jacket. They include breathability rating and waterproofing rating. Breathability rating is important as if the garment is not breathable it may keep you dry from the elements but you will perspire and then become wet from the inside thus becoming cold and uncomfortable. Waterproofing rating is important obviously to protect you from moisture, rain and snow keeping you dry and warm. |
